Dr. Fitz Gibbon's broad experience in entrepreneurship, new venture development and minority inclusion in the innovation economy make her a valuable addition to the Synergy team. In her professional practice with Fitz Gibbon Inc. Venture Development, Dr. Fitz Gibbons helps high-potential businesses that involve women and minority-owned companies to increase their capacity, capabilities and profitability.

Her corporate involvement assists many large to medium firms and pubic utilities identify and bridge opportunities with their minority supplier development processes, design strategies and implement plans which increase the effectiveness and profitability of their inclusion efforts.

She co-authored the Minneapolis Saint Paul Innovation & Entrepreneurship Prospectus presented to international economic policy constituents at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.

Her scholarly research has been accepted for presentation at Academy of Management Conferences in the US and Canada, and at the Northeastern Association of Business, Economics and Technology.

BIG HEARTS

Dr. Fitz Gibbon's has served as COO & VP of Program Development for Ideal Portland, Inc., a northwest regional organization bridging ethnic minorities to the innovation economy through entrepreneurship, access to capital and STEM education. Additionally, her work has been funded by the federal Economic Development Authority and national foundations.

Her volunteer work at the therapeutic horse-riding program is a win-win for her as well as the children and adults. "Physical and mental challenges make for happier, healthier people. And, it's my 'aromatherapy' – I find great mental health and peace of mind working with horses." She also mentors graduate students on career path possibilities and professional networking at Emory University guiding Emory's Goizueta Business School.
